we brushed a goat

So, by the title of this post…you’re like what are those Mackeys up to now? Well, before I get started on goats….this week the little Mackeys and I have caught a cold, and in this heat…my lord its horrible..We already couldn’t breathe before with the humidity and now with our stuffy noses, forget it..we’re a bunch of snifflin’, coughin’ and sneezy peeps.
And little Reese did NOT feel good last night…look at that sweet baby finger holdin onto Daddy’s finger. Pure Preciousness.
But we trucked on, as we normally do…nothing gets us down…and in the dead heat of summer, we sure ain’t gon let a cold drag us down. 🙂 So we posed for a quick pic before heading out to Natural Science Center
Look at this sweet face, and tell me you don’t want to pinch those wittle cheeks (not mine…. Reese..hahaha)
 And my little booger, Rylee
Ok, so we met one of Ry’s pre-school friends at the Science Center…here they are watching the snakes…Rylee loves them! (she gets that from her Daddy, because I am deathly afraid of them, as most normal people are)
She called this Cottonmouth snake, “sweetie”…I know….ridiculous.
Wanna see this “sweet” little snake eat a rat? Well, just watch this! You’ll puke.
You can’t see her expression, but see her touching the snake and she’s smiling. Don’t worry I explained to her that “when we see snakes in our yard or outside anywhere, we never, ever, touch them..blah blah blah…dangerous…blah blah…nasty…disgusting…blah blah blah…mk sweetie?” (I’ll call that my good mother moment of the day :))
And here’s Reese-y baby watching my every move as we ventured through the place…don’t worry, she didn’t touch any snakes 😉
I just thought this peacock was pretty…I’m random
The girls riding a giant beetle around the zoo part
And my favorite, this sweet little “dwarf goat”… who got a good ol brushin from us

Greetings…it has been too long…but welcome back to my blog

Ok, so….lots and lots has been happening since we last were online…

halloween – the overloading of candy=amazing!! I was a pirate this year. had a blast. trick or treated twice! got a lot of wear out of my costume!
Mommy took me and my friend Sophi to the Zoo Boo Bash at the Natural Science Center ~ it was loads of fun ~ we got to play games, see the monkeys eat pumpkin pie, see a laser show, and pet snakes…quite scary but amazing. Then Daddy took me trick or treating Saturday night in my friend Sophi’s neighborhood. Then Mommy, Daddy, and some friends went trick or treating in our neighborhood Sunday night…let me say I got waaaaaaaaay too much candy….and no I didn’t eat it all….(would I if I could? you bet)

I’ve been spending some of my days after school, hanging with this girl…SoPhI..she’s so fun…her parents are wonderful too…i love them…

Mommy and I spend Thursdays, *ahem, “Girl’s Day”*, doing fun things…since the weather has been so nice, we’ve been going to the park lately…we go out for delicious lunches and then stroll through the park…it couldn’t be more perfect…

Now I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving…the day I say that we “kiss and hug our family”
And yes I’ve been preparing for Christmas…just the other day, Mommy and Daddy and Me put out our Christmas decorations in the house…too early? NEVER! We love the spirit of Christmas and the house is so magically cozy with lighted wreaths and Christmas trees

Now, for exciting news, I’m going to be a BIG SISTER! yes, it’s true…our family is expanding and we will have a new addition to our family in May…I’m so excited…do I have any preference? well, I change my mind daily…truth be told, I’d be happy either way 🙂

well wishes and happpppppy thanksgiving for now….I promise to be back soon (winks)

fAiR fUn!

Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Heather and I went to the Fair Tuesday night!! It was sooo much fun! As you can imagine, we rode lots of rides…well, I rode lots of rides! We played games, and ate corn dogs! Seriously folks, it was fun! And to my surprise, they had lots of rides for kids!

Daddy enjoyed the Dumbo elephants ride too

I loved our little family time at the fair!

to the airport…

My sweet Aunt Nancy left for Texas today…so we met her, PawPaw Sam, and Cousins Jenny and Taylor at the PTI airport!

We had lunch out at McCalister’s Deli…which is oh so yummy!

Mommy with my cute little cousin Taylor, who was sad that she had to go..I was sad too…I love spending time with her..

Taylor’s mommy, Jenny, bought us special Little Pony coloring pads at the airport…we had such a fun time coloring in them…

I love family time!

Snakes, Tigers, and Taylor…

My cousin, Taylor, and I had a blast at the Natural Science Center!! Just look at all that we saw!!

Taylor and I made sure we didn’t miss one thing that day!

Take a look at this little Lemur! He only has 1 arm!! Poor little guy! But he didn’t seem to mind! He was chowin down on the watermelons provided by the Science Center!

AWWW, is this big floppy rabbit not the absolute cutest thing you have ever seen?! And his fur! Oh my, how soft!! Sooo adorable!

YIKESS!! Yes ladies and gentlemen, your eyes are not playing tricks, this is indeed a real snake!! But he was super friendly! I pet him and so did my mommy. Taylor, like most girls are terrified of snakes. She did put one finger on it, kudos my dear cousin!! His skin felt soo smooth!! Do you think my mommy will let me have one of these?? I’ll have to find the perfect time to ask….wink wink!

My cutie pa-tootie cousin Taylor, her mommy, me and my mommy went to the Natural Science Center http://www.natsci.org/ last Wednesday! Boy, was it oodles of fun! It was Watermelon day! So cute! All of the animals, (yes all) tigers, horses, birds, goats, sheep, monkeys, lemurs and wolves were eating watermelon. Even Taylor and I had some, it was oh so delish!! We got some on our shirts but our mommy’s didn’t care! It was hot as…well something that is really really really hot, outside! We were sweatin like little stuffed pigs!

Both of us were interested in much more than the camara…so much to see!

Momma’s Bday

Mommy’s lovely cake from Daddy! Daddy did a good job! Mommy loved it!

Saturday night, we went out to dinner to celebrate my Mommy’s birthday! Also, I’m half a year older now! We went to eat at Kabuto and had a delicious dinner! I even used chopsticks folks!

Mommy, and Aunt Heather, and Nanny met for lunch on Sunday at Macarroni Grill…

We had a yummy dinner…I was a little afraid of the fire (you know..when they cook in front of you at the table…the cooks apparently think its really cool to scare the heeby-jeebys out of the guests by lighting various foods on fire…I, however; would like to suggest that thier pyromania antics are not funny).

Zoo Trip = WAAAAY HOT!

Mommy, Daddy and I went to the zoo last Friday….. it was waaaaay too hott! My momma is crazy for thinking it was “perfect weather”…but on the contrary, we had a splendid time!! They have a 4D Dora and Diego show which was THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!! The seats vibrated, water sprayed from the ceiling, we wore 3D glasses, (catching breath), I mean it was sooo real! Mommy and I watched it twice! (I think Mommy liked it as much as me!) Oh, it was oodles of fun!

OK, So yes we went to the zoo…and we saw every animal you can imagine! Well except there were no hippos, zebras, or tigers…but on the positive note..the ELEPHANTS WERE THIIIIIS BIG! (see below…*wink*)

I loved watching the snakes…weird I know, but Daddy and I find them sooo facinating! Touching them…well that’s another story (ugh!..no way!)

Look! They have a new honey bee exhibit at the zoo! YOWZA! Gotta be careful here folks! These bees are real and yes they sting! But out of the thousands of bees ~ I FOUND THE QUEEN BEE!! See the one in the pic with the green dot? Well that’s her! And you know what we learned, this momma lays like a thousand eggs a day! Whew! Poor thing!
Ok…kisses and hugs…
