Cheddar, our Hamster

Our sweet old fella, Cheddar, went to Heaven ~ Friday night.

Hamsters live such short lives. The maximum life span for them is about 3 years.
We had our little guy for about a year and half but he was already about 8 months when we got him.

Pets become part of your family. No matter what kind of animal they are.
You love them, care for them, and enjoy their company.

My heart always fills with much sadness when we lose a pet.
Animals can’t express how they feel so we just assume we are making them comfortable in their last few moments of life.

I held our little hammy, Cheddar, while he took his last few breaths.
I talked with Rylee about what a fun animal he was and that all pets eventually die to be in heaven.

We buried him under a tree in our front yard so that his spirit can live through the tree.
Rylee put a little stone with a heart, over his grave.

RIP Cheddar

The Bark Park!

Mommy and I took Sammy to the Bark Park in Greensboro. It’s a big park! They have big gated in areas for small, medium, and large dogs! Sammy enjoyed playing with many of the dogs! I really liked getting to pet them! Then I walked Sammy around the lake and we enjoyed a warm Summer morning!

Chasing the geese was fun ~ except they were mean! One step too close and they would hiss at us! But I thought it was funny so I kept chasing them!

Catipillows

This weather has been great lately! I have really enjoyed playing outside in my pool! Don’t worry I will post some pictures of me in the pool soon! Here I am just taking a snack break after a busy day of hunting catipillars!

See my bucket of “Catipillows”?! I was showing them to Sammy. Then Mommy and I went to release them to the trees so they can build “cooons”.

Hanging out with my Dogs

Hi Family and Friends! Just wanted to let everyone know how I’ve been doing since I got my ear tubes. I have been walking around and talking a lot more now! My ears feel great! With the warmer weather approaching – Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Heather have been playing with me outdoors.
Above you’ll see I’m having breakfast, a big ol yummy Blueberry muffin! That’s our Dogs Dixie and Sammy you see in the other pictures. Love you all and miss you!
